Hi, my name is Gary and this is my blog. This blog is to document the progress of my degree in Computing, currently being undertaken at the University of Central Lancashire.
I have been interested in Computers (amongst other gadgets and electronics) since I was a wee boy, but have only recently taken the logical path of studying them. I enjoy gaming, music, movies... and used to be quite a fitness freak; though I think my new found pot belly fits in well with the stereotype of my new (soon to be) profession.
I have a lovely foreign (Canadian, it counts) girlfriend who studies at Queens University in Canada as an English major. I will be seeing her next at christmas and spending the holiday over there, enjoying the snow! She normally comes over here to see me and loves it (lord knows why, since it's so dull in England), but it's my turn again since my last time in Canada was March 2008.
I'm not sure whether my tutor (this blog AND this post is actually part of an assignment, heck I even have to browse Facebook as part of my course...!) wanted this to be 500 words long, or 200 words long... so I'm going to blame my short term memory and go with the latter.
Onto the first 'task' (see next post).
